About the bank
Agrobank is a joint-stock commercial bank and one of the largest state-owned banks in Uzbekistan. The bank traces its history to 1 January 1988, when the Agroprombank of the Uzbek SSR was established; in 1990 it became the independent Uzagroprombank, in 1995 it was renamed Pakhtabank, and in March 2009 a presidential resolution reorganised it as Agrobank. As of 1 September 2026, 58.06% of the shares belong to the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan and 40.94% to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The bank has traditionally specialised in lending to agriculture and the agro-industrial sector, while also offering universal services to households and businesses: deposits, mortgages, car loans, microloans, education loans, settlement services and foreign-trade operations for companies. According to the official website, the bank has 170 branches, 24 banking service centres, 729 self-service points and more than 3.6 million customers. The head office is in Tashkent on Botir Zokirov Street.
