About the bank
Joint-Stock Commercial Aloqabank was established under a Cabinet of Ministers resolution of 12 October 1994 to develop telecommunications networks and was registered by the Central Bank on 22 March 1995, the date the bank treats as its opening day. It was originally called the Special Joint-Stock Commercial Bank Aloqabank. As of 1 July 2026 the main shareholder is the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan (65.44%); other shareholders include Uzbektelecom JSC (12.09%), the Digital Technologies Development Fund (3.46%) and the Ministry of Economy and Finance (2.37%), so the bank is state-controlled.
It is a universal bank: households get cards, deposits, mortgages and car loans, microloans and education loans; businesses get loans, guarantees, leasing, factoring, trade finance and foreign-trade services via SWIFT gpi. According to the website, 88 comprehensive service centres cover every region of the country. The head office is at 2 Oʻqchi Street in Tashkent’s Shaykhantakhur district, next to Tashkent City and near Pakhtakor and Khalqlar Doʻstligi metro stations; the contact centre on +998 71 230 77 77 works around the clock.
