About the bank
Asia Alliance Bank received Central Bank licence No. 79 on 15 August 2009 and began operating as a private open joint-stock commercial bank; its legal form changed in 2012 and again in 2014, when it became a joint-stock commercial bank. The head office is on Makhtumkuli Street in Tashkent's Yashnabad district. The Central Bank lists it among private banks; its list of affiliated persons (February 2026) names Asia Alliance Group LLC as holding more than 20% of the shares.
The bank specialises in lending to small and medium-sized businesses: it takes part in the Asian Development Bank's trade finance programme and has credit lines from the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector and Austria's OeEB. Individuals are offered deposits, mortgages, car loans, microloans and cards. A 2025 rebranding brought Alliance Pay, Alliance Business and Alliance Lizing into one ecosystem. Branches also operate in Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana and Karshi.
For travellers
Currency exchange counters operate at the bank's regional service offices in Tashkent and in Karshi, mostly on weekdays until 17:00 or 19:30, some also on Saturdays. Rates are published for US dollars, euros, Russian roubles and pounds sterling. Non-residents can open a demand deposit account with a passport, proof of their stay in Uzbekistan and a PINFL (personal identification number).
International transfers are paid out through Western Union, MoneyGram, Zolotaya Korona, Asia Express, MOPS, MONEX, Astrasend, KwikPay and OlmaPay; Zolotaya Korona and Western Union transfers can be credited to a card in the Alliance Pay app (Western Union only to a foreign-currency card), which also sends transfers to Turkey. The bank issues Uzcard, HUMO, UnionPay, Visa and Mastercard cards. Alliance Pay works in Uzbek, Russian and English.
