About the bank
Garant bank was registered on 12 May 1994 as Savdogar, a joint-stock commercial bank set up to support trade; its founders included the Ministry of Finance, the Uzbeksavdo association and the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity. Yengilsanoatbank was merged into it in 1998 and Mevasabzavotbank in 2000. From 2005 foreign investors held stakes and the bank was known as Savdogar Bank with foreign capital participation; in June 2022 the shareholders rebranded it as Garant bank. According to its corporate-governance page, 99.79% of the shares now belong to a single private shareholder.
The bank serves both retail and business clients: Uzcard, Humo and Visa (Classic, Gold, Infinite) cards, co-badged Humo–Mastercard and Uzcard–UnionPay cards, soum and foreign-currency deposits, the Makon mortgage, car loans and microloans, plus loans, factoring and deposits for companies. The website (January 2026) counts 12 banking services offices and 12 banking services centres nationwide, in Tashkent, Andijan, Bukhara, Samarkand, Fergana, Namangan, Urgench, Tortkol and the Tashkent region.
