About the bank
Octobank JSC was founded in June 2001 and received Central Bank licence No. 70 on 23 June 2001. For most of its history it traded as Ravnaq-bank; in 2023 it was renamed Octobank and the Central Bank reissued its licence. The head office is on Furqat Street in Tashkent's Shaykhantahur district, and the Central Bank lists Octobank among the country's private banks. Since November 2002 the bank has been a member of the deposit guarantee fund, the Tashkent Republican Stock Exchange and the Association of Banks of Uzbekistan.
Its customers are mainly individuals and small businesses. Retail clients can get Uzcard and Humo som cards, international Visa (Classic, Gold, Platinum, Signature, Infinite) and Mastercard (Standard, Gold, World Elite) cards, car loans, mortgages and the general-purpose Octo Card loan. Companies and entrepreneurs are offered settlement and cash services, remote account opening, payment terminals, online acquiring, factoring and payroll projects. Most services run through the Octo-Mobile app, while the bank's ATMs, instant card-issuing machines and info kiosks are in Tashkent.
For travellers
The bank's office exchanges cash US dollars, euros, pounds sterling, Japanese yen, roubles and Swiss francs. International transfers include Western Union and Visa Direct in the Octo-Mobile app, as well as payments to Humo and Uzcard cards from South Korea via E9PAY and from Kazakhstan via Kaspi.kz. Octobank ATMs are installed in several zones of Tashkent International Airport, including the international hall, the arrivals area and Terminal 3. Visa and Mastercard cards are issued to non-residents, but opening an account requires proof of registration in Uzbekistan and of a stay in the country of more than three months. The Octo-Mobile app works in Uzbek, Russian and English; the contact centre and Telegram chat run 24/7.
