About the bank
Open Bank JSC was established on 22 December 2022 (entered in the Central Bank register on 24 December 2022) and initially operated as Smart Bank JSC; it was later renamed Open Bank by decision of its shareholders. Central Bank licence No. 89 was reissued on 15 September 2025. The registered office is at 2 Shahrisabz Street in Tashkent's Yunusabad district. The bank's sole shareholder is Future Open Technology Group JSC, which holds 100% of the shares, so it is classed as a private bank.
Openbank is a digital bank with no branches: every service runs through the mobile app, cards are delivered free of charge anywhere in Uzbekistan, and documents are signed remotely with an electronic signature. Individuals can get a co-badged Humo–Visa debit card and a virtual card in som, buy residential ('New Home') or commercial ('New Opportunity') property in instalments, open a trust-management account and check their financial rating. Companies and sole traders open accounts without visiting the bank, and the ecosystem also includes the SmartBazar marketplace. The online service centre (1377) is open daily from 08:00 to 21:00.
For travellers
The bank has no cash exchange offices or ATMs of its own, so its main service for travellers is international transfers: the app sends and receives money through Zolotaya Korona and BEST in more than 40 countries, and CoinShot transfers from South Korea are credited to Uzcard and Humo cards of any bank. The co-badged Humo–Visa card works in online shops worldwide and at Visa terminals. The app is available in Uzbek, Russian and English; the website does not state whether cards are issued to non-residents.
Fees, rates and opening hours can change — check the bank’s website or call its short number.
