About the bank
Poytaxt Bank is a joint-stock company established under Presidential Resolution PP-2824 of 13 March 2017 on expanding the construction of affordable apartment blocks in Tashkent; it began operations in October 2018 and was registered by the Central Bank on 29 December 2018. The bank’s sole shareholder is the Tashkent city administration (khokimiyat), which makes it a bank with state (municipal) capital. The head office is on Islam Karimov Street in the Chilanzar district, next to the Tashkent city administration building.
Originally created to finance housing construction in the capital, the bank is becoming a universal lender under the 2020–2025 banking-sector reform strategy: companies are offered settlement services, loans and foreign-trade operations, and individuals mortgages, car loans, consumer loans and microloans, deposits, gold bars and commemorative coins. The bank’s website lists the Poytaxt Mobile app for retail customers and Poytaxt Mobile Business for companies, banking service centres in Tashkent and offices in Bukhara and Fergana.
