About the bank

SODEROT Bank is the Uzbek subsidiary of Iran's Bank Saderat (Saderat Bank of Iran, founded in 1952 and headquartered in Tehran); its website uses the names Saderat Bank and Bank Saderat Tashkent. It has operated in Tashkent since 1999 and, according to the website, is entirely foreign-owned; the Central Bank register formerly listed it as the Tashkent subsidiary of Iran's Saderat bank. In January 2025 Bank Saderat's board decided to turn the Tashkent bank into a joint-stock company and increase its charter capital to 500 billion soums, and on 15 September 2025 the Central Bank issued licence No. 95 to SODEROT Bank JSC.

The bank's main business is serving trade between Iran and Uzbekistan. Companies are offered foreign-currency loans, financing for production and working capital, and international payments, including SWIFT transfers to Iran. Individuals can get Uzcard, Humo and Cash Back cards, a deposit card that earns interest on its balance, demand deposits, car loans, mortgages, consumer loans and an overdraft on salary cards. Everything is handled from a single head office in Tashkent's Mirabad district.

For travellers

The head office has a currency exchange desk, and the ATM works around the clock. Individuals can send foreign currency abroad, including to Iran, by electronic SWIFT transfer; no money-transfer systems such as Western Union are listed. Only Uzcard and Humo cards appear on the website, and no mobile app is mentioned, although internet banking is available.

Fees, rates and opening hours can change — check the bank’s website or call its short number.
