About the bank
Trustbank (Trastbank in Uzbek) was founded in 1994 as a joint-stock commercial exchange bank and received Central Bank licence No. 44 for banking operations on 21 June 1994. In 2006 it became a private joint-stock bank. Its head office is in Tashkent, on Navoi Street. The Central Bank lists it among private banks; according to the bank's website, its shareholders are more than 900 legal entities and individuals, with individuals holding most of the capital.
The bank has handled Western Union international transfers since 2002, issued its first plastic cards in 2004 and joined SWIFT in 2005. Regional branches have been opening since 2009, starting with Namangan and Surkhandarya. Individuals are offered deposits, mortgages, car loans, microloans and cards; businesses are offered settlement and cash services, loans and foreign trade operations.
For travellers
The bank's exchange offices buy foreign currency from residents and non-residents, sell currency to non-residents, pay out cash from international cards in soums or foreign currency, and convert one foreign currency into another. In Tashkent there are exchange counters at the head office and at other banking service offices.
International transfers are available through Western Union, MoneyGram, Zolotaya Korona, Asia Express, Astrasend and UPT; according to the bank's website, only the sender pays a fee. The bank issues Uzcard, HUMO, Visa (Classic, Infinite) and Mastercard (Standard, Gold, World Elite) cards, as well as co-badged Visa-HUMO and Uzcard-Mastercard cards. The Trastpay mobile app handles card-to-card transfers, payments and currency exchange.
