About

The Anti-Corruption Agency was created by presidential decree in June 2020 and is accountable to the President and the chambers of the Oliy Majlis. The agency implements corruption-prevention policy: it assesses corruption risks in state bodies, introduces compliance systems, monitors officials’ income declarations, reviews regulations and prepares an annual national report.

Members of the public can report corruption via call centre 1253, the agency’s website and its Telegram bot; whistleblowers are protected by law. Criminal investigation is outside the agency’s remit — such cases go to law-enforcement bodies.

The agency is located on Shota Rustaveli Street in Tashkent, next to the Grand Mir hotel, with regional departments across the country.
