About

The Migration Agency was formed in 2023 under the Cabinet of Ministers on the basis of the Agency for External Labour Migration. It regulates temporary work abroad by Uzbek citizens: it registers applicants, organises vocational and language courses and runs organised placement programmes with employers in Russia, Korea, Europe, the Gulf states and elsewhere.

Through offices abroad and the Vatandoshlar fund it provides migrants with legal aid and help to return home in emergencies. Note that registration of foreign visitors in Uzbekistan, visas and citizenship are handled by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, not this agency.

The hotline is 1282; the head office is on Qamarniso Street in Tashkent, with regional branches across the country.

Phone numbers and hours can change — call ahead before you visit.
