About
The Committee on Family and Women was created in the 2023 administrative reform from the former State Committee on Family and Women and has special status; its chair also serves as Deputy Prime Minister. The committee implements state policy on strengthening the family, protecting women’s rights, supporting their employment and entrepreneurship, and ensuring gender equality.
Women in difficult circumstances receive targeted assistance through the “Women’s Notebook” system; rehabilitation and adaptation centres operate for survivors of violence. The committee works with the public through regional offices and neighbourhood activists.
The head office is in Tashkent’s Mirzo Ulugbek district.
