About
The Ministry of Agriculture was established in 2018 and implements state policy in the agrarian sector: planning of crop areas, support for farms and smallholders, seed production and variety testing, livestock and pasture development, and building agro-industrial value chains.
The Agro-Industrial Development Agency, the Livestock and Pasture Development Agency, the Agricultural Payments Agency and the Agricultural Insurance Fund operate under the ministry. Since May 2026 food safety, phytosanitary and veterinary control have been transferred to the separate Food Safety Committee.
Regional agriculture departments and district offices work nationwide. The head office is on the campus of the agrarian university in Qibray district, Tashkent region.
