The Ministry of Digital Technologies was formed in 2023 from the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications. It is responsible for the e-Government system, the my.gov.uz public services portal, the ONE ID identity system, the security of state information resources, and the development of telecoms and postal services.
Uzbektelecom, Uzbekistan Post, the IT Park directorate, the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, the Uzbekkosmos agency and the Uzkomnazorat inspectorate belong to its system. Since 2025 telecom market regulation has been handled by a separate agency.
