About

The Ministry of Water Resources was created in 2018 when the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources was split in two. It manages the country’s water: it operates main canals, reservoirs, pumping stations and irrigation systems, supplies water to agriculture and introduces water-saving technologies.

The Agency for Operation of Water Facilities and the Inspectorate for the Safety of Water Facilities and Water Use work under the ministry. Basin irrigation system administrations and district irrigation offices operate in the regions.

Drinking-water supply belongs to the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services. The head office is in Tashkent in the Qorasuv-4 neighbourhood.
