About

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the national executive body that conducts Uzbekistan’s foreign policy. It coordinates relations with foreign states and international organisations, drafts international treaties and runs the network of embassies and consulates around the world.

For travellers the ministry matters mostly for visas: foreign nationals apply for an electronic visa at e-visa.gov.uz, while citizens of many countries enter visa-free — the current list is published on the MFA and embassy websites. Uzbek citizens who run into trouble abroad turn to the nearest embassy or consulate.

The head office is in Tashkent on Islam Karimov Street; the hotline is 1164. The ministry posts news on its official Telegram channel and social media.
