The Tourism Committee is the national executive body for tourism policy. Governance of the sector has changed several times in recent years: the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage (2021), the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (2023), the Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology (December 2023) and finally, by decree and resolution of 18–19 November 2025, an independent Tourism Committee.
The committee certifies tour operators, guides and hotels, keeps the register of family guesthouses, and runs the official uzbekistan.travel portal and the national stand at international fairs. Tourists can call hotline 1163 about service quality, fraud or safety.
Its system includes the regional tourism departments, the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Tourism Services Certification Centre. The head office is in Tashkent on Amir Temur Avenue.
