Terminal and flights

The airport was built in 1947; from the 1960s to the early 1990s An-2 aircraft based here flew up to 19 local services a day. It was rebuilt in 2019–2020 with a new 2.3-km runway, and in August 2020 an Airbus A320 became the first aircraft to land on it.

The scheduled route is Nukus–Muynak (Silk Avia, listed in its February 2026 fares). Flights are infrequent: none appeared on the board for 20–22 October 2026.

Getting to town

The airport is on the edge of town, about 1 km from the centre.
