Nukus International Airport

Karakalpakstan's capital has its airport right on the doorstep — about 3 km from the centre by road. The renovated passenger terminal opened in 2018.

Terminal and flights

The renovated passenger terminal opened on 11 July 2018 and handles 400 passengers an hour. The airport has two runways, of 3,000 m and 600 m.

On the board for 20–22 October 2026: Tashkent (several flights a day), Moscow, Almaty and Aktau. Silk Avia also flies from here to Muynak (listed in its 2026 fares).

Getting to town

Central Nukus is about 3 km away by road — a short taxi ride.
