About
The National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change was established by Decree PF-217 of 18 November 2025 on the basis of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change. It is responsible for environmental review, air and water quality monitoring, waste management, biodiversity conservation and climate policy.
For travellers the committee’s system means the national parks and reserves — Zaamin, Ugam-Chatkal, Hissar and others; visiting rules and permits are set by the Department of Protected Natural Areas. The State Museum of Nature in Tashkent also belongs to the committee.
The Forestry and Greening Agency, the Hydrometeorological Service (Uzhydromet), the Waste Management Agency and the Eco-Police operate under the committee. The hotline is 1157; the head office is in Tashkent on Bunyodkor Avenue.
