About
The off-budget Pension Fund operates under the Ministry of Economy and Finance and runs the state pension system: it awards, recalculates and pays old-age, disability and survivor pensions, accounts for employers’ social tax and pension contributions, and keeps citizens’ funded pension accounts.
To claim a pension citizens apply to the district pension office where they live or via the my.gov.uz portal; many services are proactive — a pension is awarded automatically on reaching retirement age. Pensioners living abroad receive payments through a bank.
