About
The Committee for Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health operates under the Ministry of Health and runs the country’s sanitary-epidemiological service. It is responsible for preventing infectious diseases, vaccination, epidemiological surveillance, sanitary rules and hygiene standards, and sanitary inspection of shops and catering.
For travellers the relevant part is sanitary and quarantine control at airports and border crossings and any requirements introduced depending on the epidemiological situation (such as vaccination certificates). Food safety control passed to the separate Food Safety Committee in 2026.
The hotline is 1354; the head office is in Tashkent on Bunyodkor Avenue.
