A memorial to the 'Imam of Guidance'
Plov centre · Samarkand
A plov centre on Panjakent Street serving Samarkand plov, salads and khalisa; the plov also comes in half portions. Open daily until 14:30.
This is the second plov centre trading under the Tagi Chinor Osh name, this one inside the city. It is on Panjakent Street, about 1.2 km south-east of the Registan and 200 m west of Mansur Shashlik.
The menu is short — Samarkand plov, salads and drinks — and reviewers single out the khalisa, a slow-cooked porridge of wheat and meat. Portions are big, and you can order a half portion of plov. Reviewers say the cook will add extra meat or carrots if you ask. The dining halls are spacious. It is open in the daytime only, from 11:00 to 14:30.
Information checked: October 2026. Prices and hours can change — call ahead before you go. We do not take bookings: contact the venue directly.
