It depends
The standard route is an e-visa (e-visa.gov.uz). Since 1 September 2026 you can stay visa-free for up to 30 days if you meet these conditions:
- you hold a valid multiple-entry business or tourist visa of the USA, the UK, a Schengen state, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan or the Republic of Korea;
- you have an air ticket to your own or a third country;
- the 30 days must fall within the validity of that foreign visa.
How to get it
- Fill in the application on the official portal e-visa.gov.uz at least 3 working days before your trip.
- Pay the consular fee: single entry — US$20, double — US$35, multiple — US$50. It is not refunded if refused.
- Processing takes 2 working days (not counting the day you apply); the e-visa arrives by email.
- Show the e-visa at the border on paper or on your phone. It is valid for 90 days from issue; the stay is up to 30 days from entry.
Since 1 May 2026 an e-visa can be extended once for up to 30 days at the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Department of Migration and Personalisation.
