Yoshlik Park
An amusement park with a Soviet past
Hotel · Samarkand
A new-city hotel owned by the Bagizagan winery, with its own cellar, daily themed tastings and a restaurant.
Hotel Bagizagan belongs to the winery of the same name and stands in the central part of the new city, on Abu Rayhon Beruniy Street. Large shopping malls and the new Yoshlik Park are nearby; the Registan and Gur-e-Amir are about 4.8 km away, so a taxi is the way to the monuments.
The hotel has its own wine cellar, which hosts daily themed tastings and tours on the history of winemaking in Uzbekistan. The 27 rooms range from singles to deluxe rooms with balconies and a luxury room. There is a restaurant, and breakfast is a buffet. A good fit for wine enthusiasts and those who prefer to stay in the modern city.
