Terminal and flights
Arrivals and departures use separate terminals: the arrivals terminal opened on 22 May 2014 and the departures terminal on 15 December 2014, each designed for more than 300 passengers an hour.
On the board for 20–22 October 2026: Tashkent (Uzbekistan Airways, Centrum Air, Silk Avia), Moscow (Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Zhukovsky), St Petersburg, Istanbul, Jeddah, Medina and Bukhara.
Getting to town
Central Urgench is about 8 km away by road.
Electric train: a CR200J high-speed train runs daily from Urganch Aerovokzal station — train 7055 leaves at 08:40, calls at Urgench station (08:59–09:02) and reaches Khiva at 09:22; in the other direction train 7058 leaves Khiva at 21:00 and arrives at the airport at 21:42 (September 2026 timetable). If the timing does not suit, take a taxi.
