Lines and stations
The network has four lines: Chilonzor (red, 17 stations), Uzbekistan (blue, 11 stations), Yunusobod (green, 8 stations) and the elevated Circle (Halqa) Line (14 stations). The Chilonzor Line opened on 6 November 1977 with nine stations, followed by the Uzbekistan Line in 1984, the Yunusobod Line in 2001 and the Circle Line in 2020.
Despite its name, the Circle Line runs on a viaduct and is not yet a closed loop: it arcs from Texnopark (interchange with Dostlik on the Uzbekistan Line) to Qipchoq (interchange with Chinor on the Chilonzor Line). The Choshtepa–Chinor section of the Chilonzor Line, opened in 2020, is also above ground.
Interchanges: Paxtakor — Alisher Navoiy, Amir Temur Xiyoboni — Yunus Rajabiy, Oybek — Ming Orik, Dostlik — Texnopark, Chinor — Qipchoq.
Opening hours
The Chilonzor, Uzbekistan and Yunusobod lines run daily from 05:00 to midnight; since 1 May 2026 the elevated Circle Line runs from 05:00 to 23:00. Hours are sometimes extended on public holidays such as New Year's Eve — the metro announces this separately.
As of September 2026, peak-hour headways were 1.5–2 minutes on the Chilonzor Line, up to 3 minutes on the Uzbekistan Line, up to 4 minutes on the Yunusobod Line and 7–8 minutes on the Circle Line.
Fares (2026)
Since 1 October 2026 a single ride costs 2,500 soum when paid electronically — with an ATTO transport card, a bank card or a mobile app. Paying cash means buying a single-ride QR ticket from a self-service kiosk, which costs 3,000 soum.
Tashkent uses ATTO's transfer fare: within one hour of the first tap, a second ride (metro or bus) costs 1,500 soum and the third and fourth are free.
Pupils, students, pensioners and people with disabilities get 50% off travel plans with a concession transport card.
How to pay
ATTO transport card — sold at metro ticket offices and UzPost branches; top it up at the ticket office, in the ATTO app (no commission) or in other payment apps.
Bank card — tap it on the validator at the turnstile; one card can pay for up to five entries in a row, which is handy for groups.
QR payment through a mobile app, or a single-ride QR ticket from a kiosk with menus in Uzbek, Russian and English.
FacePay — pay with your face: register in the ATTO app, upload a photo and link a transport card. It works at every station on the Chilonzor and Yunusobod lines.
On the validator, green means the payment went through, red means it failed, and yellow means less than six minutes have passed since this card's last tap.
