Azaliya sits in an old neighbourhood of narrow lanes close to the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis. In a straight line Shah-i-Zinda is 310 metres away, the Imam al-Maturidi Complex 590 metres, the Bibi-Khanym Mosque and Siyob Bazaar 650–700 metres and the Registan 1.15 km. There is a large supermarket nearby.
The hostel occupies a two-storey house: guests hang out in the courtyard, and the upstairs terrace has a fine view. There is a kitchen for self-catering, a washing machine, lockers and key-card entry. Rooms have air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, and linen and towels are provided. Breakfast is not included. Check-in from 14:00, check-out by noon; reception is not staffed around the clock.
