A 92-room four-star hotel in the Silk Road Samarkand complex, with the Marakand restaurant and its focus on balanced eating, a lobby bar and the Eternal City 400 m away.
The Hilton Garden Inn Samarkand Sogd is a 92-room four-star hotel in the Silk Road Samarkand complex. It opened in 2022 as the Wellness Park Hotel Sogd and joined the Hilton Garden Inn brand in February 2024. The name recalls ancient Sogd, or Sogdiana, the region of which Samarkand was a leading city. Of the complex's Hilton hotels, this is the closest to the Eternal City ethno-park, about 400 m away.
The ground-floor Marakand restaurant is named after Marakanda, the ancient city that became Samarkand and the capital of Sogdiana. It serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner from 07:00 until midnight with an emphasis on balanced eating: fresh smoothies, steamed dishes and modern takes on traditional recipes. It seats up to 90, and the lobby bar is a quiet place to unwind.
The hotel shares cluster management with the neighbouring Hilton Garden Inn Samarkand Afrosiyob. The complex's wellness centre is in that building next door, and, as at all the complex's hotels, Sogd guests are entitled to one complimentary treatment.
Information checked: October 2026. Prices and hours can change — call ahead before you go. We do not take bookings: contact the venue directly.
