Bibi-Khanym Mosque
Timur's colossal Friday mosque
Hotel · Samarkand
A 32-room boutique hotel about 560 m from the Registan, with carved wooden ceilings, a rooftop terrace and bar, and jacuzzis looking out over the city.
Kosh Havuz lies in the old town, roughly 560 m from Registan Square and 400–550 m from Bibi-Khanym Mosque and Siyob Bazaar. It belongs to the Grand Samarkand hotel group as its boutique property in the historic centre.
The 32 rooms feature carved wooden ceilings, ornament and bespoke design details, with deluxe rooms and executive suites alongside the standards. Up on the roof is a terrace bar with several open-air jacuzzis and a panorama of the city. A buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant, and there is a sauna, a gym and a meeting room for 40. Ideal if you want to stay inside the old town and watch Samarkand's lights come on from the roof.
