Terminal and flights
Two passenger terminals are in use: Terminal 2 (T2) for international flights and Terminal 3 (T3) for domestic ones. On the board for 20–22 October 2026, domestic services to Nukus, Urgench, Bukhara, Termez and other cities left from T3, while foreign flights used T2. The board shows the terminal next to every flight, so check it before you set off.
A 24-room passenger hotel has operated at the airport since 2024. Hemmed in by the city, the current airport has no room to grow: a new international airport is being built in the Urtachirchik and Kuyichirchik districts of Tashkent Region, with groundbreaking in October 2025 and opening planned for late 2030.
Getting to town
The airport lies south of the centre: about 7 km by road from T2 to Amir Timur Square, and roughly 11 km from T3.
Bus: routes 11, 40, 45, 47, 67, 76, 77 and 94 pass the Xalqaro aeroport (International Airport) stop; since 25 April 2026 route 106 runs between Uchxoz mahalla and the airport (as of April 2026). Routes change from time to time, so check before you travel.
Taxi and private cars: drivers may stop at the terminal for up to 10 minutes to drop passengers off; after that, traffic cameras issue an automatic fine.
