History and layout

The complex stands in eastern Dishan Kala at the junction of the roads from the Polvon and Kosh gates, beside the site of the old slave market. The mausoleum was built in the 18th–19th centuries for Abdolbobo, said in legend to have been called Polvon Ahmad Zamchi, and winter and summer mosques, a minaret and a pool grew up around it. The tomb is a square domed room (5.7 by 5.4 metres outside) with two tiers of muqarnas beneath the dome; the four-columned mosque measures 17.2 by 8 metres, and the slender 10-metre minaret is ringed with green-glazed bands. The pool has a tiled rim. It came under state protection in 2019.
