Odina Mosque
Qarshi’s oldest building, now a memorial museum
Madrasa · Qarshi City
A two-storey madrasa built in 1909 by the Qarshi notable Khoja Abdulazizboy. It held the regional museum in 1975–2007 and now houses a craftsmen’s association.
Khoja Abdulazizboy, one of Qarshi’s wealthy, generous and learned citizens, built the madrasa in 1909. It follows the traditional two-storey plan: a tall portal gives it dignity, the small side domes are decorated with patterned brickwork, and the interior is much plainer.
It measures 26 × 24 m and has 27 cells around a 14-metre square courtyard, with a staircase inside the portal leading to the upper floor. From 1975 to 2007 it was home to the Kashkadarya regional museum; today the regional Hunarmand craftsmen’s association works here. It has been on the national heritage list since 2018.
