A large restaurant complex set in greenery, with an open-air area, banquet halls and a VIP room, fountains and artificial waterfalls; Uzbek, European, Turkish and pan-Asian food and live music in the evenings.
Sangizar is a big restaurant complex in the modern western part of Samarkand, just off Buyuk Ipak Yuli Street. Its leafy grounds hold an open-air dining area, a restaurant hall, a large banquet hall and a VIP room, with fountains and artificial waterfalls all around. Locals come here for weddings, anniversaries and family celebrations, and musicians play in the evenings.
The menu covers Uzbek dishes, shashlik and grills, and European, Turkish and pan-Asian cooking; diners single out the jiz-biz, kabob, lula kebab and salads. Reviewers also mention a dress code.
