Plov centre · Samarkand
A plov centre on Firdavsi Street where the cook carries out the plov and garnishes it in front of you; the lux version adds quail, tongue and pomegranate. Tapchan seating.
Ahmadjon Lux Osh is in the west of the city on Firdavsi Street, opposite the mosque in the Panjob quarter and about 600 m east of Shavkat Osh. Its calling card is the presentation: the cook, Anvar aka, carries the plov to the table himself and garnishes it in front of the guests. Besides the standard plov there is a 'lux' version topped with quail, tongue and pomegranate seeds.
Salads, flatbread and tea are ordered separately, and there is shurpa too. As well as tables, the hall has tapchan platforms, and the walls are hung with photos of guests and celebrities. Portions are large: half a portion may do for two. Plov is served at lunchtime, and delivery is available.
Information checked: October 2026. Prices and hours can change — call ahead before you go. We do not take bookings: contact the venue directly.
