St Nicholas Church
A mud-brick church built in wartime
Café · Gulistan
A café in northern Gulistan serving shashlik, shurpa and other Uzbek dishes; the kebabs are a popular takeaway.
Bukhara Café is at the northern end of Uzbekistan Avenue, near the Registon Hotel. Locals come mainly for the shashlik, often ordering it to take away, and the menu also includes shurpa and other Uzbek staples.
The fried fish and somsa also get plenty of praise. Evenings bring rowdier groups, so lunchtime suits families better. Open from 9:30 am until midnight.
Information checked: October 2026. Prices and hours can change — call ahead before you go. We do not take bookings: contact the venue directly.
