Shashlik.uz Royal is a family restaurant attached to The Royal hotel on Ibn Sino Street. The chain started with a single restaurant in 2014 and now runs several branches in Samarkand and beyond. You can eat in the dining room or out in an Eastern-style courtyard, which is sprinkled with water on summer evenings and cooled by a small fountain; there are tapchan platforms too.

Charcoal-grilled shashlik is the core of the menu: lamb chunks, minced kebab, ribs, liver, chicken wings and the layered 'Napoleon'. The chain's menu adds achichuk tomato salad, crispy aubergine salad, mastava rice soup, jiz-biz and tandir-roasted meat. Reviewers note that no alcohol is served.
