The fig-garden quarter — Uzbekistan's first tourism mahalla
Plov centre · Samarkand
A spacious plov centre on the airport road serving Samarkand plov and Sitora plov, with starters wheeled round on a trolley. Open at lunchtime and again in the evening.
Uchminor Osh Markazi stands on Ibn Sino Street, the road to the airport, about 150 m from Samarqand Osh Markazi No. 1. Its halls are spacious and decorated in national style. Two kinds of plov are served here — Samarkand plov and Sitora plov — and a waiter wheels round a trolley of cold starters and salads for you to pick from. Samsa, lagman, shurpa and kebabs are also on offer.
It opens at 11:00 and, after a break from 15:00 to 18:00, stays open until 21:00. The lunchtime plov can run out by 13:00, but a fresh batch is served in the evening.
Information checked: October 2026. Prices and hours can change — call ahead before you go. We do not take bookings: contact the venue directly.
