Events
Bukhara’s even-year festival: exhibitions by gold embroiderers and jewellers, masterclasses, competitions, parades and concerts.
The Gold Embroidery and Jewellery Festival grew out of Silk and Spices: in even-numbered years Bukhara devotes its festival to its most precious crafts, gold-thread embroidery and jewellery. The first edition, in May 2022, brought together more than 100 artisans from dozens of countries. The programme includes masterclasses, seminars, exhibitions and contests for the best masters, apprentices and young talents, as well as parades, concerts and dancing.
During the festival the choice of souvenirs and crafts in Bukhara’s shops multiplies. The 2026 edition was scheduled for 15–17 May.
