Plov centre · Yunusabad District
A plov centre next to the Tashkent TV Tower, where plov is cooked in huge kazans in an open kitchen; the flagship of the Beshqozon chain.
Beshqozon stands at 1 Iftixor Street in Yunusabad district, just 230 m from the Tashkent TV Tower. This is the place to try osh, or plov — Uzbekistan’s signature dish of rice, carrots and meat, layered and slow-cooked in a cast-iron kazan — prepared here in giant cauldrons. The kitchen is open, so you can watch the cooking. Plov, Uzbek dishes, meat and tea are what reviewers mention most often.
Today it is the flagship of the Beshqozon chain, which also has branches on Glinka Street, in Shaykhantahur district and in Sergeli. You can sit in the hall or on the summer terrace; there is a children’s menu, and takeaway and delivery are available. The nearest metro station, Shahriston, is about 630 m away. Easy to combine with a trip up the TV Tower.
