Alay is one of Tashkent's main produce markets, bounded by Amir Temur Avenue to the west and Usmon Nosir Street to the south, with Abdulla Qodiriy and Yunus Rajabiy metro stations close by. By available figures it covers about 79,000 square metres with more than 1,450 stalls.
Rows are grouped by produce: fresh and dried fruit, vegetables, greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers, grains, spices and medicinal herbs, honey, eggs and herbs. There is also a row of flower stalls and a bakery turning out hot flatbread.
