Malika Khiva sits outside the walls, opposite the Ota Darvoza gate, and some rooms look straight onto the ramparts of Itchan Kala. It is a compact, quiet building with its own restaurant, and cards are accepted.

All the main sights of the old town are within walking distance, while the street outside is calmer at night than the lanes inside the fortress — a practical base for a one- or two-night stay.
