The square by the pool — old Bukhara's beating heart
Hotel · Bukhara city
A 40-room hotel in a former Bukharan Jewish house about 100 m from Lyab-i Hauz, with an original 19th-century ayvan.
Lyabi House Hotel stands beside the Lyab-i Hauz ensemble in a house that once belonged to a Bukharan Jewish family. Its showpiece is a traditional 19th-century ayvan, a carved and painted veranda that now houses the Ayvan restaurant, and the building wraps around several cosy courtyards.
According to the hotel there are 40 rooms in local style, and transfers from the airport and railway station are free. Breakfast is included, there is a bar and a terrace, and cards are accepted.
The trading domes and the Kukeldash and Nadir Divan-Begi madrasahs are a few minutes away; the Kalyan Minaret is about a ten-minute walk.
Information checked: October 2026. Prices and hours can change — call ahead before you go. We do not take bookings: contact the venue directly.
